Southern fitness is a small group fitness facility located in Wallacetown. Services offered are designed to suit all levels of ability from the athlete wanting to improve sporting performance
to individuals wishing to become more mobile when playing
with their grandkids. 

About Me

My career as a trainer started not long after competing in a Mix Martial Arts match in 2012. I began training individuals in self-defence and helping them achieve their fitness goals. A few years after this, with a business partner, I set up the group training facility Primal Performance Ltd in Invercargill. For 5 years I was the co-owner and operator of Primal Performance Ltd. During this time I trained a large variety of individuals including athletic individuals wishing to improve sporting performance, clients into their 80s wanting to improve mobility and quality of life, plus size individuals wishing to focus on weight loss and overall fitness.
During this same period, I also completed studies for a Bachelor in Sport and Exercise and a Diploma in Sport and Exercise Science.
In 2020 I opened a private fitness studio from my home in Wallacetown to be closer to my family. From here I have been able to work on a family/work-life balance, through the operation of small group classes and personal training sessions while being close to my young family. Recently I began competing in Body Building and won my division in the NABBA bodybuilding competition held in Invercargill.
In the future, I intend to continue to compete in bodybuilding and enter into higher levels of studies to further my skills as a personal trainer

One-on-One Training

Fully personalised training sessions designed to help you achieve your fitness goals.

Over 60's & Low Impact classes

Small, group fitness classes (maximum of 5 people per class) that are designed to improve your strength and mobility while working around any aches and pains that you may have.

Strength and toning Classes

These are group PT sessions (maximum of 5 per session) that focus on the development of overall strength and muscle development. Guidance is given to ensure correct lifting techniques are used to maximise the effectiveness of every exercise while reducing the risk of injury.

Morning Cardio Classes

These are 25minute classes designed to get your heart rate up. The class design and exercises used are changed regularly to keep things interesting. Variations of all exercises are offered to suit the individual’s level of ability.
